So I was thinking about it the other day (the good thing about doing an internship is not doing much at times) :
I thought about something called "The War of the Myths". It would be about several Irish mythical characters coming together for a meeting that happens once every 100 years and this year it would be in Cong.
The game leader would be an old story-teller.
So they meet up and we are guests (since we're there). They are scared, people are starting to forget about them. Indeed, when myths & legends aren't told, they fade away. But there is something weird, they know there is an impostor between their ranks because it is happening much quicker than it should. They start arguing and then a quarrel starts between leprechauns & faeries :
1st game : Sagamore (afternoon game)
I'll explain later if you like the whole thing. At the end, even if one of the teams wins they make peace over snack.
2nd game : cluedo (evening game)
In the evening, the kids will be given a task : interview the myths and find out who is the impostor.
Bouncing moment : revelation about the Lady with the Mirror (I'll explain later as well) - look for her and then bring her to the story-teller. Sort of trial to send her to Oblivion Land.
Calm-The-Kids Moment : sing a song OR tell one of the myths' stories in English/French.
What do you reckon?
