Hey everyone,
I thought I would write you a bit of information about Ashford as I have been there last week and it would be useful to know some things whilst planning.
1. It's not like other linguistic centres as it is a SHARED centre with other organisations. We should bear this in mind when creating the guiding thread.
2. Learning Zones - workshops generally take place in learning zones. These are standard classrooms. But please note - we had a lack of chairs!
3. Printing/Photocopying - we didn't have access to a photocopyer. We were given a printer in the middle of the camp but our director had to buy ink.
4. The grounds - there's a football pitch, volleyball courts (plus a beach one)- but please note: these are not bookable. Shared by all.
5. Wifi was available! (in some locations)
6. The centre is gated. If you want to leave on your day off - you can but you have to sign out. There is a supermarket nearby, restuarants and a cinema. Town is about a 30 minute walk.
Have anymore questions? Just ask me!
