Hey guys!

So, here's an idea I've had to create a mind-blasting environment for the girls.

What if we pretended to be the Gods and Godesses of Fashion who descended upon Earth to share our knowledge and love of fashion? The girls would become our AmbassaDresses, and their mission would be to learn as much as they can and then spread the word!

Let me know what you think about it quite quickly please, so that either we can move on to the Workshops/Activities or we can think of another guiding thread.

Thanks folks!

Fx

I wanted an idea that was a bit fresher than just pretending to be on a fashion magazine or to be fashion designers in desperate need for help.

Plus, all the activities can develop something new with this thread. The creativity of the girls can be boosted knowing they don't have to abide by the fashion industry's rules, they can fully express themselves.

I also love the unintended pun on the "AmbassaDress" title we could give them, and we could provide them with a diploma each at the end of the camp.

Ideas for activities are easier to find :
- Panic! At The Castle : Loki, the pagan God of Discord, has stolen the Apples Of Sight, and thus none of the Gods can go on with their project, their vitality and creativity slowly vanishes. Find the Apples to get the Gods back on track!
- Learn the Dance of the Gods : dance class.
- Gods Communicate in Mysterious Ways : the girls can find little notes around the Castle, written in an unknown language, but if they dig deep enough, they can find other notes allowing them to crack the code and find a treasure (the Divine Spa prior to the big party, e.g.)
- etc

So yeah, this is my idea, and I love it Laughing
Please accept it?!

Cheers

Fx

I have also always wanted to be a goddess - haha ! I like that it's fresh and original ! I hadn't much thought about the guiding thread yet, so if I come up with any ideas I'll let you know, but I do like this one for now.
Could we use the workshops as "missions" and when they pass they go up in "rank" until they become goddesses of fashion like us ?

I love your idea of Divinity Ranking =D They could win pieces of an outfit each time they achieve a workshop, and the goal for them is to complete their Goddess' Outfit =D

From Houdia

""This idea of Gods and Godesses of Fashion is just so great! Of course I
have always wanted to be a Goddess too!

I think it's a good idea to use the workshops as places where they learn
to become our "AmbassaDress" (by the way I like the title!).

This way they'll have all the knowledge they'll need for the big big
game with the 2 other camps!

We could also talk to them about Zandra Rhodes (I've looked on the
museum website and there is an exhibition this summer:

http://ftmlondon.org/ftm-exhibitions/zandra-rhodes/ )

We could present her as one of the greatest Goddess on Earth (one of our
inspiration) and her exentric style can be an inspiration for the girls
too!""

Hey y'all!

We're two weeks and a half away from the preparation weekend! Woopwoop! So ladies, let's start our engines! And we will deliver the most amazing camp EVER!

Since everybody seems to have agreed on the 'Gods n Godesses of Fashion' guiding thread, I'd like to move the imaginary one step further : do we keep our names or make other ones up?

I could ask this a bit differently : how do you see this particular guiding thread coming to life? What are your ideas for making this the most gorgeous and hilarious Pantheon ever?

I do have quite a few ideas myself, please tell me what you honestly feel about them :

1st idea : Hey, let's have a different and amazing outfit (or even several) each day, and do a little fashion show during breakfast!
Get stylish in a thousand ways, showing the girls EVERYTHING is possible.
E.g, I was thinking I could do drag one day (Alizée, I'm mostly coming to you on this one, because I know how scary that might sound. But rest assured I will NOT traumatize the girls!) Doing drag for me is something I love, something the British are quite fond of, and something that can totally be suited to young girls, since it is to dress up in something completely different of what you are, but requires knowledge of who you want to impersonate. It is of course obvious that I will NOT do the non-stop-sex-talking drag on the camp, but more of a queen who can teach the girls how to be confident with who they are, with what they want to do, how they want to dress and also teach them how to pay less mind to other people's opinion, as long as you respect them.
Another example was to have a makeup masterpiece on your face every single morning. I know this might sound tiring, and time-consuming, but it just has to be breathtaking. For instance, I know how to fake leopard skin with two shades of eyeshadow and an eyeliner in about 10 minutes. I know I'm quite the glitterholic on this one, but I feel it would be so much inspirational for the girls. They might come into doing the same thing! And come to us for advice and help Wink
In short, I thought we could transform the counsellor image to a more iconic one, which can be expressed through every single look. I'm quite the glamazon myself, but that can be playing the total Woodstock-revival, or more of a spooky Rocky-Horror-Picture-Show-inspired look. Or even a wizard/witch look! Ohmagad! We found a bridge!

2nd idea : Hey, let's write beauty/styling/lifestyle tips on bits of paper, with a watermark/signature showing it's from us, and spread them throughout the centre. Imagine the girls finding them! I'm quite sure it can be treasure-like, especially if you find it under your pillow, under your plate, in a book...
E.g, 'For a good look in the morning, apply fresh water to your face, eat something consistant and finish with a smile!', or 'It will be alright in the end, and if it's not alright, then it's not yet the end', or even 'Feeling the day will be dull? Apply colours, and spread the love!', or 'Nothing is as overestimated as a good dress, and nothing is as underestimated as a good hug'... With more ideas coming up!

3rd idea : Hey, let's have a special signature, a sign showing this is divinity-approved, so that they can relate to a symbol. And we can have a mini-workshop/challenge : we need a brand new design for the logo, do your best!
I can't show you examples in here, but I will on the preparation weekend! Bring your ideas too!

4th idea : Hey, let's have a song/choreography/motto, so that we can always start the day with a performance, breathing energy into the morning!
Examples for a motto could be :
- Spice up your life, and it will get tasty!
- Love your life and live your love.
- Dream. Believe. Achieve.
- You can't have enough love. Or diamonds.
And the list is endless! Give your own ideas!
For the choreos and songs, we'll discuss that on the 16th Wink

5th idea : Hey, let's do a magazine! It would be about the life on the centre, the gossip there is (still being nice and careful, of course!), tips on everything, the menu of the day, a display of the day's pieces of artwork the kids will have done on the THREE camps, and of course a reader's mail =D
I suggest only the counsellors would do it, because as wise and all-knowing Gods and Goddesses, we get to know everything. Plus, it will be a surprise for all the girls to discover what's in the day's issue, and not having some knowing what's inside and watch their counterparts discover it all as a big surprise.
We could of course leave a contributor's tribune open for some journalist-wannabe girls who would want to contribute, but with that system, they won't feel forced to do it every single day. They can if they want to, but they don't have to.
We could even do a Twitter account/Facebook page since it's smartphone-generation and I'm sure while on free time they will rush to social medias.

That's about it for now, I do apologize for the long long long message, but I felt inspired ^^
Tell me what you think, I am open to every criticism, as long as it's constructive Wink

Luv
xoxo

Hey everyone !!

I can't believe it's only 2 and half weeks til Paris, it's all going so quick !! I can't wait

Right so first off - i don't mind changing my name, it's always fun to do and the kids always get a surprise at the end when/if you reveal to them that it's not your real name (maybe it could be a BIG REVELATION in the magazine)

Then, YES YES YES YES YES !! I want to do all the different outfits, makeup, everything !!! Haha ! It usually takes me about an hour, an hour and a half to get ready in the morning anyway (I swear I'm not vain xD)And maybe each day could have a theme, so like "70's day", or 20's, or whatever era or "punk day", "steampunk day" - and then the girls could get inspiration from us, and for the veillé, join us in getting dressed up ? I dunno if that's gonna use too many of their clothes though before the washing date !!

Thirdly - i love the idea of the notes, "why fit in when you were born to stand out" is a favorite of mine ! Maybe we could also have a big piece of paper in the commun room, or games room (I dunno, the place where they can all hang out in their free time, I've never been to this center) with our signature/watermark on it, and they could write their own inspirational quotes, or just general fashion tips, what they've learnt throughout the day etc ...
I'm working on the signature/watermark as we speak ^^

Okay and finally, i love the magazine idea aswell, and although I think the facebook thing is a good idea, imagine if on of the girls doesn't have facebook (it's rare I know - how do they even live !?! haha - but it happens ...) The magazine would be a great souvenir to take home aswell for them ! We could add photos of the fashion show and eveything

How abouts aswell putting up tutorials around the center, for different hairstyles, and makeup, so they can try them out aswell ! It shouldn't be too hard to do with photos !

Sorry my message is a bit here, there and eveywhere as I'm coming up with ideas !! For the magazine, we could have an "agony aunt" but for fashion related problems, so the girls could send in questions, and we answer and so on, or we could get the girls to answer them aswell, have different opinions on the matter.

I'm not quite sure yet how this idea could develop, but I'm thinking "Fashion Police", maybe a wanted poster of things that just don't go together, or celebrities who have failed on the red carpet ... I'll keep thinking !!

Okay I think that's it for now !! Oh and about the drag, obviously Alizée will have last say in this, but I don't think it's a bad idea, i actually think the girls would find it pretty cool, and maybe slightly funny at their age, but that's just my opinion ! We could dress as guys no problem !

See you all sooooon !!
xxx
